Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan memahami strategi koping guru dalam menghadapi stres kerja di lingkungan sekolah yang kompetitif. Tuntutan akademik, beban administratif, dan ekspektasi tinggi menimbulkan tekanan psikologis yang memengaruhi kesejahteraan dan kinerja guru. Penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologis ini melibatkan enam guru sekolah menengah di Kota Palembang yang dipilih secara purposive. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dan dianalisis secara tematik. Hasil menunjukkan dua bentuk utama strategi koping, yaitu problem-focused coping (perencanaan mengajar, manajemen waktu, komunikasi) dan emotion-focused coping (berdoa, dukungan sosial, relaksasi). Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa pengelolaan stres guru dipengaruhi oleh kemampuan individu serta dukungan sosial dan lingkungan sekolah, sehingga diperlukan penguatan kapasitas emosional dan dukungan institusional.
