Abstract

This research explores efforts to increase political understanding and build citizenship from an early age among State Elementary School (SDN) 10 Kayu Agung students. Involving qualitative analysis, this research aims to identify effective teaching methods in the context of political education for children. The research results show that the application of a game-based approach and political simulation significantly increases students' political understanding. Apart from that, instilling civic values ​​such as active participation, tolerance and respect for differences is an important aspect in building strong citizenship from an early age. These findings have positive implications for character formation and positive contributions of students in society. This research contributes to our understanding of the importance of integrated political education in the primary school curriculum to create informed and politically active citizens.
